The Problem Although being a small community contained within a 9 by 5 miles coastline the Esso Forecourt was plagued by ‘drive offs’ from it’s self service forecourt and by shoplifters in the ESSO mini-market.
The Requirement Installation of a digital CCTV system to monitor the 8 lane self service forecourt and the mini market.
The Solution An Eagle Eye 240fps system was installed with 14 cameras covering all 8 lanes, transit areas, car wash facility and mini-market.
The Benefits Within days of the system being installed data recorded by the system was being used by the Police to achieve prosecutions in the local courts for both petrol theft and shoplifting.
Indeed the coverage offered by the system has recorded many incidents on the forecourt where vehicle have collided and where customers have acted negligently.
The Police use the footage from this particular system regularly as it is the only all night forecourt and criminals seem to use the facilities before or after they have committed a crime somewhere else in the Island.
